no one was there by the lines for either place? sheesh!!!
well as far as i know, i would also be the type of person who wouldnt want to just sit there either and watch but getting close to a raccoon is a bad idea and could do some serious harm.
try phoning them again. sorry, maybe look through the yellow pages and see how many wildelife rescue agents there are around and hopefully one will answer. if there is a message machine for the places you are calling, listen and sometimes they'll give you a main number to call or you would have to press a number to call for in-case of emergency or something. What should I do about this racoon?
just leave the raccoon on the road either coyotes or fox will get him.
well if you theres no other help i suggest you staying away from it getting closed to thoes things are never good for yourself ;[ sounds cruel but ya somethings are better just left the way they are
I don't know where you live but where I live I would phone my city's 24 hour line. There are usually people on call who can go out and take care of stuff. If you live in any kind of city, there should be people up and ready for things like this.
I can't obviously say if this raccoon will live or not but ';favoring one leg'; sounds like something he can recover from is he has a food source. Bleeding is never good so who knows about that.
I should add that approaching an injured raccoon is a very bad idea. They are big enough to cause you a good deal of harm. Let the experts deal with this.
Try to kiss it! May be it is a Prince, under spell of evil witch!
