A racoon had babies, and now the babies moved into my neighbors house. We and they keep finding them in the garage, curled up on the railing of the front porch, and trying to get into her basement. Yesterday, we put them in a pet carrier, and took them about a mile away and dropped them off at (not in) a creek. We- they have tried everything else. If this doesn't work and they come back, is there a better approach?Racoon problem- what is the most human way to get rid of them?
Get some live traps and then take them far, far away as soon as the babies are big enough to survive on their own.Racoon problem- what is the most human way to get rid of them?
Call your state Dept. of Conservation. They have trained wildlife officers who generally will relocate nuisance animals free of charge.
Trap them again and release them near a lake, river or State park MILES away from your house.
please tell me you put them with their mom????? You have to not feed them...keep all food out of reach, make your house uninviting and usually they will go away I just hope they are okay
drop them off TWO miles away.
Call a professional. Raccoons can carry some pretty nasty diseases. Start with animal control and go from there.
You could tell Jethro to drown them in the cee-ment pond or have granny make soup out of them.
