I need to kill some raccoons, and I would like to know what a good Pellet gun, preferably break barrell in the 200 dollar range. What is a good break barrel Pellet gun in the 200 price range that I can take out a racoon with?
you will get many who will say a pellet gun is fine but a 22lr is the least you should consider for game that large....there are many rifles chambered in 22lr that can be bought for 200 or lessWhat is a good break barrel Pellet gun in the 200 price range that I can take out a racoon with?
i dont really have an answer for you but........ why don't you just go out and buy a .17HMR.......... i .17 single shot gun costs about 170-210$. And you also know that it will kill it in one shot
I think you need this. http://www.airgundepot.com/rws-850-177co鈥?/a>
You see raccoons like to be shot with pellet guns, as by nature, they are fighters. Shoot him a couple of times and he'll die with respect for you. Blow his brains out with one shot and he'll never respect you as a combatant.
Raccoons are really into airsoft too.

THESE ARE BOTH MAGNIFICENT GUNS. I OWN THE GAMO HUNTER PRO WHICH IS MORE EXPENSIVE BUT IT IS INCREDIBLE. THEY ARE BOTH GREAT. i hope i could help : )
A 22 cal. is the best answer. but if you are like me and have close neighbors and can't fire a 22, here is what I use on raccoons, opossums and other vermin and varmints at 25 yards and under. A Gamo 1000 Shadow 177 cal air rifle. A well placed head shot is death, a body shot is a no no. The cost is around $120. Just to show it's capabilities, my 17 year old son once shot and killed a 45 lb. coyote with one shot to the head at about 15 yards while squirrel hunting.
