When does a baby racoon start eating food and what do they eat?

we cant find the mother, his eyes are open and he has teeth that is just comeing out . He wont drink a bottle. NEED HELP .When does a baby racoon start eating food and what do they eat?
First of all.. you need to get that baby raccoon to a wildlife recovery center as they are not good pets. In some places it is illegal to own them. They can be very dangerous once grown. Also they carry rabies. My mother took in so many of them I had to trap them and take them to a wildlife reserve. But what she fed them was buttered bread, fruits such as grapes, etc. Also they love dry dog food. But please take that animal to where it can be back in the wild. When does a baby racoon start eating food and what do they eat?
I have just found myself in the same situation. I have the KMR kitten replacement milk and the bottles. They are not use to the bottles but it you keep them on their belly and hold their heads up and firm you can actually drip a few drops into them and then they will take interest. It may take several tries as that is not what they are use to. Also never feed them on their backs as this can suffocate them so to speak if milk goes the wrong way.

Hope that helps, I am learning too.
I have raised several litters of wild raccoons from very early on.. If you call animal control, they will probably euthanize it.

How big is it / do you have a picture you can send me? I have TONS of tips.. But the reality is, without proper nourishment from it's Mother, that baby is probably going to die.

Please email me at: smb4469@yahoo.com with any additional info you have so we can chat.
I agree with Shar...take to a wildlife reserve or find a wildlife rescue in you area. We had one when I was little and it bit my dad. He ended up killing it. It will probably not live anyway. Baby rabbits will refuse to eat and they will die. Been there, done that. Hope this helps. Good luck!!!
Most of them wont like drinking out of a bottle but they will eventually get used to it. KMR - Kitten Milk Replacement is the best thing to feed them. Its fattening and will make them stronger. Good luck!
You will have to feed him/her soft food . Such as veggies that hjave been steamed . They do not eat meat so dont even try. It should want to bottle feed thats not normal.
