How do you put on eyeliner without looking like a racoon?

when ever i try to put it on it just draws a thick line under my eye. how do you do it properly?How do you put on eyeliner without looking like a racoon?
well you should try to sharpen your liner to get a good small edge then apply it lighly on the upper and lower lashes infact right on the lashes on the bottom( this helps make it appear that your lashes are what are causing the darkness and the ore you apply the more you will notice it's eye liner, and then just above on the top of the lashes on your upper lid.





If your liner is a twist one try and practice a wispy light mostion until you get how to apply it in moderation.How do you put on eyeliner without looking like a racoon?
Practice with a liquid eyeliner, make the line as thin as possible. Or even before applying the eyeliner draw a white line with white eyeliner where you want it and then apply the black on top as practice.
I first use a brown shadow at the base of the lashes and blend out. Apply mascara. When it dries, use a brown liquid eyeliner, starting in the center, lay brush on it's side and pull out to the outer corner. Then without re-dipping, go to the inside corner and meet the center. There will be just enough liquid on the brush . Be sure you get a good fine brush, not thick or too short. It will give you just enough base to bring out your eyes and not look like a raccoon. Looking natural.
get this eyeliner its the best sharpen it when it gets too think to make a thin line. It has a sharpener at the end of it.

The best way I apply eyeliner is by puting my middle finger under my eye and tug a little down then i apply a thin line to pink of my eye not inside but where the roots of your bottom of your eyelashes.

-try brown, make sure its a pencil, and a sharp one


-do not go all the around on the lower lid, just the area away from ur nose


-draw it on the inside of ur lashes, pull ur lower lid down, apply almost on the lashes. pull ur top eye lid up and do the same.


-u want the liner to look like a shdow from ur lashes


-u might try some natural eyeshadow, to make it POP out less


-u may also want to try, before u put on the liner, some eyeshadow as an eyeliner, then go over it lightly with the liner


-curl ur lashes

get an eye pencil the wind up ones. those make finer strokes. of just sharpen the pencil to a point. hey u man be pressing to hard. dont WIPE it in. just lightly brush it on.
Put it only on the outer corners and not all the way around. Use a self sharpening eyeliner or one with a sharpener built in. Rimmel has a nice brand called EXAGGERATE. That way it stays clean and crisp- not thick and pencil-wood-ish. And try to hold still and practice drawing a thin line very close to the edge of your eye and not too much on the skin. Remember, you want to accentuate your eye, not hide it under the liner. Use a color that makes your eyes pop. Blue eyes- use brown. Green Eyes- Use black or green. Brown eyes- use green eyeliner. pull ur bottom eyelid down n try to get more on the line n dont go over it 2 many times

ok so.. heres some tips.


~ Make sure your eye liner is sharpend.


~ Pull the skin under your eye gently and apply your eye liner on top of your lashes all the way from one side of the eye to the other.





~ if still a thick line take a Q-tip and get it wet with a little bit of body/hand soap then place Q-tip and one end of the eye and move it slowely to other side (as if to copy tip above, but slightly below the eye liner you just applied)

buy a eye liner brush.. Use the brush to put on the eye liner. It doesn't smudge. It last longer. its not all chunky etc
If you pull the outer corner out farther intil your eyelid is taunt then you can get closer to the lashes and draw a thinner line without having your eyeliner crease very much.
I had the same problem because i already had dark eyes so what i did was get a very shinny bronze eyeshadow and a small eye shadow brush and i use the eyeshadow to line my eye...then i take my eyeliner (and its not a pencil its the kind that you turn it and more eyeliner comes out...and its really soft) and i just barely line my eye with it..if you need a picture of what im talking about email me or if you have any more questions..my email address is Bamers523@yahoo.com
