I got some questions can a racoon bite and do how big they get and stuff just tell me stuff about racoons?

Yes they can bite - they can carry rabies, so if bitten, you'd want to get checked out. Of the 6,844 documented rabies cases reported in the United States in 2004, 37.5% were in raccoons.

As far as size -

An adult weight varies with habitat and range and can range from 3鈥?6 kg (6.6鈥?5 lb) and measure 60鈥?0 cm (24鈥?6 in) along the body, minus the 25 cm-10 in tail.I got some questions can a racoon bite and do how big they get and stuff just tell me stuff about racoons?
Stuff about raccoons,-- The raccoon is a cousin of the bear, so let's look at the raccon as a small bear as far as appetite, and biting,( just look at its teeth) it can climb and dig and bite and fight like any bear can. It is also nocturnal and kind of semi hibernates durin the winter months however if the temps are mild during the winter they will come out for some fresh air. The males can get huge, so can the females acutally. They can aslo have like 6 or more babies in one litter. then they mate again in one season and can probably have as many as 18 or 20 babies in one summer. The will eat just about anything, meat, fish, veggies, dog food, cat food, even the cat if the cat sticks around, they eat birds and their eggs, rats, mice rabbits, corn, you name it. There are known to eat on a carcass and if there is some left over, will come back the next night to finish it off. They are very crafty critters, can figure out a trap or how to get into the garbage that you thought was racoon proof.I got some questions can a racoon bite and do how big they get and stuff just tell me stuff about racoons?
Raccoons can weigh 50+lbs. They are wild animals and should be treated as such. These are NOT house pets. Raccoons are natural carriers of rabies and can not be vaccinated for them. Therefore in most states, it is illegal to keep them in captivity without a permit. Raccoons are very interesting critters though. The reason they ';wash their food'; is to get it moist so they can swallow. Raccoons have no salivary glands. Raccoons are NOT rodents or in that family. They are in the bear family and are pretty intelligent.
Yes they bite, but you don't want to get bit. They have Rabbies sometime. They really get big and fat. About three times the size of a basketball. They also can be nasty. I shot one yesterday because it was trying to get one of the Kittens. My dogs did the rest. They are also very ugly when they are grown up. Nothing like the cartoons.
They can really bite. They can kill a dog.If you raise one from a baby they will usually get mean when they grow up. They can get to over 40 lbs. It's best to just stay away from them. If you see one out in the daytime don't go near it, there's a good chance it will have rabies.
yes they can bite and are also known carries of rabbies, they can weigh between 6-35 pounds, adn they love to dig in trash
