What is the best way to tame a pet racoon?

Raccoons do not tame. It is not in their nature. They are curious, destructive and tempermental. Keep it ourside or turn it in to wildlife rehab center to rehab and release it.What is the best way to tame a pet racoon?

They are not domesticated animals. It would be like trying to tame a crocodile, not possible.

technically it's illeagl to have a pet raccon and they are a lot of work but if your willing to havbe one the best way is top arm your slef with lots and lots of marshmellows and sit by the edge of the cage and just wait for it to come over to you when it does offer it a marshmellow they love them and eventually it will decide that your cool and want to be around you. you may also want to find something to keep it busy like hide food in it's cage or take a plastic jar and put holes in it and then fill it with dog food or ceareal and make the holes big enough for the food to come out. i will take time for the 'coon to get used to youbut in the end it's worth it. i've raised 10 of them and there awsome. if you need any more help or advice feel free to e-mail me and i do my best.

Why the hell would you want to.
I don't even know if your allowed to have a pet raccoon. But, if you want to tame in I would spend a lot time with it. Seat next to it cage and talk to it. try ti pet it and give it treat. If it a baby I say try it. If it an adult and you really want it I would say keep it for I few days feeding it and spending time. Then let it go and just keep feeding it outside I pretty sure it'll stick around if you feed it. Even make it a little house if you like. But if it used to be free I don't think it would be to nice to keep it in a cage.
Suger cubes will win 'em over everytime. Since, they are very meticulous eaters, it's only fair that you give them a bowl of water with their suger cubes, so that they can wash each cube in the water before devouring their new tasty treats.





Only problem with this is that the water tends to disolve the suger cubes before thir finished washing them completely.
