Last night i shot a racoon in my backyard with an airsoft and i have been worrying that i might have killedit?

does anyone know if an airsoft gun can kill a racoon the gun was only about 200 fps and the racoon seemed to just walk away like he didnt care.Last night i shot a racoon in my backyard with an airsoft and i have been worrying that i might have killedit?
Is it an airsoft gun you wouldn't mind being shot with wearing heavier clothing? If it wouldn't break your skin, then it probably wouldn't puncture a raccoons skin either. If anything, it probably just stung a bit.

The only concern I can think of with an airsoft gun where you could kill an animal is if you hit it in the eye..

In future, I'd just avoid unnecessarily pestering the wildlife.. Last night i shot a racoon in my backyard with an airsoft and i have been worrying that i might have killedit?
To be honest, it depends on how far away you were when you shot it. I highly doubt you killed it. But you could have injured it and according to Natural Selection where the weak cannot survive, I would say yes. You probably did kill it. Not directly. I think shooting animals like that is wrong regardless of what is used to do it. If you are so worried about if you killed it or not, then why did you do it in the first place? I'm not going all PETA on you, just confused =P
Well it can't feel good! And if your so concerned about hurting the poor little critter why would you shoot it with anything in the first place?! There are much nicer, and less harmful way's to get rid of a pest, if that's in fact your reasoning for doing such a thing!!!
stop shooting animals - its cruel - If they had guns as well it would be fair - dont fret about the coon now you cant really reverse what happned - just stop shootinganimals evn if you think it won't kill the animal
not a chance you killed it and shame on everyone else for putting down hunting its great!!!!!
I hate them, they are rabid at times.you didn't kill him
