How would I make a simple animal snare trap to use in the woods...for rabbit, racoon or possum...?

step 1: take shoe lace or other durable cord

step 2: make a simple slip knot with a loop big enough for your fist to pass through

step 3: take two sticks and FIRMLY place them into some kind of earth

step 4:tie the end of the shoelace or string without the loop and tie it to one of the sticks.

step 5. use the other stick to support the loop

Well, its really easy and dont need anything.

You get a heavy rock and a small stick big enough to lift up the rock.

You stick a small piece of food onto the stick, preferably a piece of energy bar or something. Then you wait for some small dumb animal to put its head under the rock to get the food, thereby moving the stick. This will smash the animal's head.

However, this traps takes a long time to balance the rock with one little stick. So have patience. And becareful not to let the rock crush your hand. How would I make a simple animal snare trap to use in the woods...for rabbit, racoon or possum...?
Go to your local library and find some books on survival. All of them have various snares and traps for catching small animals.
Join the Texas Sport Hunter Forum and ask around. You will find knowledgable folks there.. http://www.texassporthunter.com
