How do you house train a Racoon?

very carefullyHow do you house train a Racoon?
A racoon is really not meant to be a house petHow do you house train a Racoon?
my personal experience with raising a coon was wild....

she was a very young baby and lost her mama when she was only a few weeks old... we fed her scrambled eggs and toast daily... yum

she grew up to be one of the biggest coons i had ever seen. she basicly was house trained with our pit bulls as they would go out side to do their busimess so she would follow and do hers.

on easter eve our neighbor went out and hid eggs for his grand daughters egg hunt on easter morn.

we woke up to the sound of our neighbor complaining about all his beautiful easter eggs being found and 1/2 eaten... he thought a bunch of hoodlum kids got to them over nite but we all know who did it... our coon.:( i felt so bad...

so we moved to another home with a more country like setting with big trees for her to climb but she was so mean she beat up all the male coons that tried to mate her .

one day while we were working on the bed room we let my cockatiels out to roost on the curtin rod and the coon came in unnoticed and hipnotised the birds till one of them fell off the perch. she laied in to the bird (like a cat) and broke its wing. and once they get a taste for blood they will always go for the birds. so we decided it was time for her to be an out door coon.. so we moved her out side cage and all.

she had a fit and proceeded to try and break in to the house thru the eves . this didnt work so she got mad one nite and she got in to my husbands motor compartment of his truck and plucked every spark plug wire out .. we we didnt do a thing about it and let it go as we had a very smart coon with a bad attiude .well she got mad again cause we wouldnt let her in so she proceded ate my husbands motor cycle seat off his 62 bsa hard tail... well that morning my husband and his friend put her in the truck and about 1/4 mile down the road the coon figured out what was happening and she went belistic and chewed the crap out of both the guys and the truck and they opened the window and tossed her out... a few weeks later we were at a meeting and one of the neighbors 1/4 mile away was talking about this monster coon that he watched stradle his deck railing and lift the lid off his trash can and help her self to a snack... he didnt do a thing to her as she gave him a snarl so he just went about his business and we turned away giggleing thinking oh my god we let a menising coon on the loose with strength and a bad attiuide..the moral of the story is

DONT KEEP THE COON CAUSE AS SOON AS ITS OLD ENOUGH TO BREED IT WILL GET AN ATTUIDE AND TARE YOU UP AS WELL AS WHAT EVER IT CAN GET HOLD OF IF YOU PISS IT OFF...

coons are wild animals and should be treated as such. take the coon down to your local wild animal shelter and let them take care if it .. they will know what to feed it till its old enough and will set if free where it will be safe for it to survive.

let me know how you go ...

cheers
