Can I keep a pet racoon in America....?

If so where do I get it and is there any laws?

ThanksCan I keep a pet racoon in America....?
no it is against the law,you can however feed it outside and even get the vet to give it a rabies shot but DO NOT REFER to it as a pet.dont cage it or fence it in, if it is a recurring visitor thats ok.thats the best advice i can give.good luckCan I keep a pet racoon in America....?
Different states have different laws on exotic pets. Why would you want to remove a raccoon from it's natural habitat?
If it's an occasional visitor that you feed-no problem. If you keep it caged, at least in our area, you must have a wild game license (game farm license) to keep it. Your local Department of Natural Resources or similar group can handle that for you. Just remember rabies with racoons.
it depends if your holding it captive and there's nothing wrong with it than yes its also not fair because u would be taking it from it habitat and that's just rude if its a baby that was abandoned than no but u should take it to a wildlife shelter to they can take care of it and release it.
